The Black Label to Separate from YG? Moving office to a New Building

On January 13, it is reported that the YG-affiliated The Black Label is likely to separate from YG. In particular, it was revealed by the financial investment industry that The Black Label will be moving to a new main office in the first half of 2024. 

Since its establishment, The Black Label’s main office has been in YG heartquarters, showing a close relationship between the companies.

However, likely in an attempt to separate from YG, The Black Label summoned a board meeting before making the relocation decision. 

On the other hand, The Black Label is founded by Teddy, a star music producer often affiliated with YG, who is behind the numerous hits of BLACKPINK. The agency is currently managing several artists and actors, including Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Park Bo Gum, among others. 

It is also known that 21% stock of The Black Label is known to belong with YG – the bigger shareholder, but the company is looking for additionally investment,
