Netizens outraged as YGX’s dancer Yell did a great job despite having hearing difficulties, yet ended up losing on “Street Woman Fighter”

Many viewers believe that YGX’s Yell was treated unfairly when she couldn’t hear the music clearly.

On October 19, the latest broadcast of Mnet’s hit dance show “Street Woman Fighter” became the focus of attention when it unveiled 4 crews to enter the final round and 2 eliminated crews. Specifically, PROWDMON was sent home due to the lowest number of votes. YGX also had to say goodbye to the show after losing the elimination battle to LACHICA with a score of 2:3.

However, this result has caused many viewers to feel dissatisfied. In particular, in the individual battle between YGX’s Yell and LACHICA’s Rian, netizens claimed that the judges were being unfair to Yell.

In this battle, Rian started first by showing flexible dance moves that required high skills and brought satisfaction to her teammates.

Yell took a long time to feel the music

On the other hand, Yell had an uneasy start when the shouting and cheering at the studio was quite loud, overwhelming the music that the production crew was playing. Notably, Yell is known for being congenitally deaf. She started having hearing problems when she turned 3 years old and had to wear hearing aids since 3rd grade. Therefore, in a round that required high musical sensitivity of the dancers, Yell seemed to lose the advantage when it took a long time for her to  be fully able to listen to the music.

Noticing the situation Yell was facing, YGX’s leader Lee Jung did a hand gesture to signal the staff to turn up the volume but unfortunately, nothing changed.

Despite having hearing difficulties, Yell still proved her admirable effort to the opponent and everyone watching. YGX’s maknae successfully completed the battle after showcasing impressive dance moves. The expressions of the judge BoA showed that she was amazed by Yell’s performance.

Although she did a great job, the final result was still not in favor of Yell and YGX.  She lost against LACHICA’s Rian. At the same time, this was also YGX’s first loss after the team won the group mission. In response to this result, netizens have left many angry and regretful comments.

Yell and YGX’s losing has disappointed many viewers

Netizens have constantly expressed their admiration for Yell’s talent and attitude in this battle as well as throughout the entire show. Besides, many viewers can’t help but regret, even refuse to find the loss of Yell and YGX convincing. Previously, the judges consisting of 2 SM idols, NCT’s Taeyong and BoA, were repeatedly questioned by netizens about their qualifications as they are both idols but get to give comments on and grade professional dancers.
