“Squid Game 2” Jo Yuri “I sometimes want to go to universities, but my friends keep telling me not to”
Jo Yuri talked about university life that she has never experienced before.
On August 13th, singer Jo Yuri appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel “JAYKEEOUT”.
On that day, the cast shared stories about university with Jo Yuri, who could not enjoy university life. The cast explained, “We all go on a trip together. And each senior is matched with a group to be team leaders. We do the games played on variety shows as drinking games.”
Jo Yuri expressed her regret, “I always wanted to go, like MT. It’s been one of my dreams.”
When asked “Do idols also go on trips together?“, Jo Yuri replied, “I haven’t experienced it. There could be some issues if boy and girl groups hang out together. Unless it’s for a show, I don’t think they do that much.”
Jo Yuri revealed that she had taken a trip similar to MT, “When I was part of IZ*ONE, we went to the pools together a lot. Our manager would drive us there. We went on a cottage trip.“
Jo Yuri caused laughter by sharing, “I sometimes want to go to universities. But my idol friends who are also students keep telling me not to. So I’m not going to go. It’s closer to not being able to go.”
To the question “Have you ever dreamed of a campus life?“, Jo Yuri added laughter by imitating a university student awkwardly, “On a campus, I always wanted to take a lecture. ‘Professor! I have a question.’ ‘Your statement has too many flaws.’“
The cast burst into laughter at Jo Yuri’s words, “Who says that?” Jo Yuri got embarrassed, “They do it in K-dramas.“
Next, Jo Yuri expressed her difficult feelings earlier this year. She recalled, “The beginning of this year was the hardest time I’ve ever experienced. But I had the chance to think a lot and try many things. Experience a lot, break down a lot. Not feeling any sense of achievement was the hardest thing. I think I was a bit depressed overall.“
She added, “I auditioned a lot. And that led me to think, ‘Until what age will I keep on auditioning?’“
