Spire Files Complaint Against Omega X, “Will Reveal the Truth”

On January 30, Spire Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as “Spire”) stated that they have reported to the Fair Trade Commission (hereinafter referred to as “FTC”) the unfair practices of Omega X’s current agency IPQ. According to Spire, this is to “reveal the truth” behind the tampering allegations during Omega X’s exclusive contract period.

The official statement from Spire explained, “In an effort to reveal the true nature of this situation, we have gone through a challenging process to file a complaint with the FTC.”

They further expressed, “Through this FTC report, we hope that the truth behind this incident will be clearly revealed. We seek a fair judgment from the FTC, not based on mutual slander and speculation.”

“Once the FTC makes its judgment, we will proceed with civil and criminal measures, including damages, and correct any misinformation through the Press Arbitration Commission. We hope that this opportunity will lead to the eradication of tampering in the K-pop market”, Spire also claimed.

Previously in October 2022, during a U.S. tour, a fan of Omega X noticed that the boy group experienced verbal abuse and assault from a representative of Spire and took the issue to social media. The boy group themselves also filed a lawsuit to suspend their contract, acknowledging that the abuse was true.

Meanwhile, Spire denied the allegations, stating that any misunderstandings were resolved through dialogue.

Eventually, Omega X won the exclusive contract suspension injunction lawsuit in January of last year and signed a new exclusive contract with IPQ in July of the same year.
