BLACKPINK’s title track for the 2nd full-album – ‘Shutdown’ will be released on the 16th

The title track of BLACKPINK’s 2nd full-length album was revealed.

On the 7th, YG Entertainment announced, “The title song of BLACKPINK’s 2nd regular album is ‘Shut Down’.” ‘Shut Down’ is a word that means closing a certain space. Blackpink, who has captured the hearts of music fans around the world with its unrivaled charisma and girl crush charm, raises expectations for a new story to be unraveled.

In addition, in the poster released today, the tightly closed silver shutter, which also exquisitely matched the meaning of ‘Shut Down’, appears again following the last teaser. Fans are pouring out various speculations about this and sparking a heated discussion.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s second full-length album “BORN PINK” will be released at 1 p.m. on September 16th (Korea Standard Time). The pre-released song “Pink Venom” topped the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Charts in the U.S., ranked 22nd in the UK Official Singles Chart, and 2nd on the Spotify Top Song Global Weekly Chart. The music video reached 100 million views at the fastest speed (29 hours 35 minutes) among K-pop girl groups, and then surpassed 200 million views in 7 days and a half.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will open their world tour on October 15th and 16th at KSPO DOME, Olympic Park, Seoul. Starting with this performance, they plan to mobilize a total of 1.5 million people from North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
