Son Seok Gu “‘D.P. 2’ Jung Hae In’s train action scene is touching, he filmed it to the point of being close to death”

“D.P. 2” Son Seok Gu revealed why he was moved by Jung Hae In.

On August 5th, a video titled “The reason why Son Seok Gu was moved by Jung Hae In | D.P. Season 2 | Netflix” was posted on Netflix’s official YouTube channel.

#. “Lim Ji Seop” (played by Son Seok Gu) is pathetic?

Director Han Jun Hee shared, “In the scene with Military Police Commander Lieutenant Colonel Yong Duk, Ji Seop mentions that he has 3 children. Two daughters and a son. We put it out there that he has 3 children, so we had to take responsibility for that. We had to maintain that in the picture.”

He explained, “The most important aspect in creating the character was that he was a pathetic man. Lim Ji Seop’s main storyline in ‘D.P.’ was really how he’d break out of being that pathetic person.”

Jung Hae In said, “It seemed like your character might get back together with his ex-wife at the end.” Son Seok Gu agreed, “I tried to really act that out with my eyes. I wanted to do that for the kids. To get back together. To go back to the courthouse.”

#. Jung Hae In’s train action that Son Seok Gu saw

Watching the train action scene, Jung Hae In said, “What I clearly remember is that I couldn’t use a stand-in.”

Director Han Jun Hee sympathized, “We created a lot of action scenes where you can’t use a stand-in.” Jung Hae In added, “It just isn’t possible with the angle. We filmed on a real train.”

Koo Kyo Hwan wondered, “What about the blur effect?” Director Han Jun Hee replied, “We tried to mix various kinds of blurs during post-production. I thought it would be nice if the scene felt a bit blurry.”

Son Seok Gu confessed, “That action scene on the train was so touching. I gave Hae In a genuinely hot high-five.

He praised, “I could feel that he gave his all. Even though I wasn’t there, I could feel that he filmed it to the point of being close to death. It was beyond just an action scene. It was a whole drama.”

He added, “His expressions were brilliant. The expressions he had in that scene weren’t simply that of an action scene. It was something else. It was heartfelt.
