A Mercedes-Benz G-Class which used to belong to BTS Jungkook was auctioned off at a whopping bid of 1.2 billion won.
On December 13th, the open market auction platform Blacklot announced that a final bid of 1.2 billion won was placed for the auction of BTS Jungkook’s previous vehicle, which closed at 6 PM (KST) on the same day. The identity of the winning bidder is not disclosed.
It is known that the successful bidder must pay 1,244,965,000 won, which includes the 1.2 million won bid, a 3.3% purchase fee of 39,765,000 won, and a delivery fee of 200,000 won. All expenses related to vehicle acquisition, such as vehicle acquisition/registration tax and insurance, will also be covered by the successful bidder. Overall, this final bid of 1.2 billion won is the highest since the launch of Blacklot.
This auctioned vehicle is the Mercedes-Benz G-Class AMG G63 Edition that Jungkook purchased under his name back in September 2019, and it is known that he owned it for more than two years, before transferring it to a collector. A new vehicle of this model often goes for around 230 million won.
The vehicle was auctioned off last month, but the auction was stopped just before the deadline for confirmation of a bid from an unidentified foreigner. Since then, Blacklot has banned minors and foreigners from bidding, and has conducted the auction again from December 6th, this time only allowing bids after an auction deposit of 5 million won is paid.
