Baek Ah Yeon announced her marriage by posting a handwritten letter on her Instagram on March 2nd.
On this day, Baek Ah Yeon said, “I wrote this letter because I have a story I want to convey to the many people who always support me.”
She said, “I think many people must have been surprised by the sudden news of marriage. I was also very surprised. As it was important, I wanted to inform you carefully, but I am sorry you heard it from the articles before my handwritten letter.”
She continued, “During the 10 years of my career as singer Baek Ah Yeon, many things happened. There were more happy times, but there were also times when I felt anxious, and there were also difficult times. Two years ago during winter, I met a person who reached out to me first. I am grateful for that person.”
Baek Ah Yeon introduced her groom-to-be, saying, “He has a very warm heart, cares for me a lot, loves me, and more than anything else, he gives me strength and supports my music activities.”
She added, “I believe that I could promise this person the rest of my life, and so, we have decided to have a new start together. I sincerely thank everyone who always supports me with an unwavering heart.”
Finally, Baek Ah Yeon concluded her letter by saying, “As long as you wait, I will prepare well for the next album and repay you with good music. Thank you.”
Previously, news of Baek Ah Yeon dating a non-celebrity man was reported, and marriage rumors arose.
In response, Eden Entertainment, Baek Ah Yeon’s agency, said, “They are dating on the premise of marriage.”
In 2012, Baek Ah Yeon rose to the top 3 on SBS’s “K-Pop Star Season 1” and made her name known. Since then, she has become popular with a number of hit songs such as “Shouldn’t Have”, “So-so”, and “A Lot Like Love.”
