The group Seventeen reportedly boarded the plane late, causing damage to other passengers.
“I was in Okinawa yesterday to return to Korea on the same plane as a boy group, but we were delayed because of their late arrival,” an Internet user said on their SNS account on June 18th. “The crew stepped in and asked us to wait because there were passengers who haven’t board the plane, and the group then appeared late and got onto the business class with their faces covered. Some of the staff members headed to economy class“.
The netizen added, “I understand why the other passengers were angry. Who are they and why do we have to take damage for what they’ve done? It’s ridiculous that they are given special treatment just because they are celebrities. Buy a chartered plane if you want to fly as scheduled.”
Asiana’s OZ171 flight, which operated the Okinawa-Incheon route on June 17th, is marked as a delayed flight, according to the flight’s departure status site. The flight, which left Naha Airport in Okinawa, Japan, and was scheduled to arrive at Incheon International Airport at 3:25 p.m., arrived at 4:34 p.m. International flights are classified as “delayed operations” if they exceed one hour.
Another netizen said, “It’s an annoying delayed flight OZ171,” and added, “We had to wait for the passengers who were late due to some broadcast. Turn out they were SEVENTEEN. The flight, which was delayed for an hour and a half, left immediately after SEVENTEEN got on the plane. Korean celebrities are very well treated,” they pointed out.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN has reportedly hosted a fan meeting event in Japan.
