Sandara Park Thanks Uhm Jung-hwa, “I Fainted At Her Concert And Cried A Lot After She Texted Me”

2NE1’s Sandara Park expressed her gratitude towards Uhm Jung-hwa

Sandara Park and Brian guested on SBS PowerFM’s “Cultwo Show” radio broadcast on December 15th.

Kim Tae-gyun mentioned Uhm Jung-hwa’s concert and said, “Almost all solo female singers went there”.

In response, Sandara Park said, “Kim Wan-sun, Lee Hyo-ri, Hwasa, Hyuna, and I were invited to the concert by Uhm Jung-hwa. She is like a savior to me”.

Kim Tae-gyun asked, “You remade her song ‘Festival’, so she would feel upset if you didn’t come”. Sandara Park emphasized, “That’s right, and many junior singers really respect her. A lot of people know me as a member of 2NE1 but they don’t recognize me as a solo artist. I haven’t had many opportunities to show that side. I did it for the first time at the concert and she (Uhm Jung-hwa) texted me, saying ‘My friends told me that you were cool. I was very surprised’. I cried a lot. She’s really my savior”.

When asked if the concert was great, Sandara Park said, “Don’t even mention that. I fainted at the concert. I was dancing and crying together with the audience for three hours”, adding “I really want to go there again”, showing her admiration for Uhm Jung-hwa.
