Pledis Entertainment has finally launched the debut of “SEVENTEEN’s junior group” TWS
Pledis opened the official SNS account for TWS at midnight on December 21st with a team logo motion. The graphic logo motion shows “24/7 WITH US” and TWS” appearing one after another to explain the meaning of the group’s name.
TWS is short for “TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US”, which means “always with TWS”. Following SEVENTEEN, Pledis once again impressed netizens with its unique naming strategy using numbers. Accordingly, TWS will spread bright energy as well as cheerful and refreshing music that makes people want to be with them at every moment, just like their group’s name.
Even before the group’s name was released, TWS had already been considered one of the most anticipated debuts of 2024. When HYBE announced the plan for Pledis’s new boy group debut in the first quarter of next year at their conference call earlier in November, K-pop fans and the public were already curious about it as they already know Pledis’s history of producing successful groups, such as After School, Orange Caramel, NU’EST, SEVENTEEN and fromis_9. Detailed information, such as the number of members and debut date, are still hidden, but TWS is already a hot topic within the K-pop community as Pledis’s new boy group 9 years after SEVENTEEN’s debut.
Another noteworthy factor is that “SEVENTEEN’s junior group” TWS will be HYBE Labels’ first rookie group in 2024.
