Controversy Over HYBE New Boy Group TWS’ Logo Plagiarism Accusation Clarified

TWM Strap, the custom watch strap brand, said on their official channel on January 7th, “We met directly with Pledis staff and the external designer who developed the TWS logo, and received an overall explanation of the TWS logo production process. In conclusion, both I and the designer created the logo to the best of our abilities. We confirmed that the other party did not plagiarize my logo.”

Continuing, they added, “Unfortunately, both sides were victims. Through this conversation, we resolved misunderstandings, and we hope TWS will do well in the future.”

Earlier, the brand claimed on January 2nd that TWS plagiarized their self-produced brand logo, announcing strong responses such as “Logo with trademark rights,” “Will report trademark infringement through lawyers,” and “We can’t just let it go.”

In response, Pledis stated, “We are in the process of verifying the company that created this logo.”

As the plagiarism controversy comes to an end, netizens are showing reactions like “It’s fortunate that it was resolved,” “Similar designs can come up when creating,” and “Swift issue resolution is good.”

Particularly, TWS being HYBE’s first rookie in 2024 has attracted much attention, and artists under HYBE, including their “older brother” SEVENTEEN, are actively supporting the birth of the new junior, adding to the public’s anticipation.
