Park Shin-hye Talks About Reuniting With Park Hyung-sik After 11 Years In ‘Doctor Slump’, “I’ll Carry You On My Back”

On January 25th, the press conference for JTBC’s new Sun-Sat drama “Doctor Slump” was held with the attendance of Park Shin-hye, Park Hyung-sik, Yoon Park, Gong Sung-ha, and director Oh Hyun-jong.

Through “Doctor Slump”, Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik worked together again 11 years after SBS’s 2013 drama “The Heirs”.

When asked about her feelings upon knowing Park Hyung-sik would become her co-star, Park Shin-hye replied, “I don’t know how to express that joy in words”. At the request to show it with her body, the actress did a small dance and said, “I never thought it would be possible. I was really happy”.

Park Hyung-sik shared, “I don’t know if I always felt like that whenever I joined a project, but this time, I was very nervous and scared, whether it was going to the set or making choices. I felt like I’d gained a thousand troops by my side. I could really rely on her, trust her, and stand firmly on the ground”.

When Park Kyung-rim jokingly said, “Doesn’t it feel like you don’t need to take responsibility for everything?”, Park Hyung-sik responded, “I was trying to say it cautiously, but I had that thought in mind”. Park Shin-hye shared, “At the beginning of the filming process, he told me, ‘Noona, I’m not worried at all. I’m going to do whatever I want to do this time.”

However, she added, “So I jokingly said, ‘That’s right, I’m not worried when I see you either. I also have no worries at all. I’ll carry you on my back”, adding “Rather than feeling nervous, I really looked forward to going to the set”, boasting about their chemistry.

Meanwhile, “Doctor Slump” will air its first episode at 10:30 p.m. on January 27th.
