Park Kyung once accused 6 artists of ‘sajaegi’
In 2019, Park Kyung posted allegations of music chart manipulation against some of his fellow colleagues, stating, “I also want to ‘sajaegi’ like Vibe, Song Ha Yea, Lim Jae Hyun, Jeon Sang Keun, Jang Deok Cheol, Hwang In Wook ^^.” Park Kyung’s post stirred up social media and led to the criticized artists being named. Subsequently, they filed defamation lawsuits against the male idol for his derogatory remarks. The post was later deleted, and Park Kyung’s company issued apologies to the mentioned artists and the public.
In 2020, Park Kyung was fined 5 million Won for his actions. However, Lim Jaehyun proceeded with another lawsuit as he had not received a sincere apology. Recently, the court ruled that Park Kyung must pay 30 million Won in compensation to singer Lim Jaehyun for publicly accusing him of chart manipulation without evidence:
“The defendant (Park Kyung) feels remorseful for not thoroughly verifying whether the plaintiff (Lim Jaehyun) manipulated music chart rankings. The defendant must compensate for the mental distress that the plaintiff had to endure.”
It is known that Park Kyung has fulfilled this compensation to Lim Jaehyun. The male idol expressed his remorse for publicly naming the artists without verifying whether they had actually manipulated the music charts or not.
