During a fan interaction, Olivia was asked about her thoughts on the popular series “The Idol.” Her response was unexpected as she revealed that she had no intention of watching the show. She elaborated on her stance, saying, “Oh no. I don’t plan to watch this show. I remember stepping out of the Barbie room and thinking, ‘Wow, it’s been a while since I watched a show with a woman at its center that isn’t about sexualization or her pain or how she’s been hurt.'”
Meanwhile, the 2nd season of “The Idol” has been canceled. A spokesperson for HBO said, “‘The Idol’ was one of HBO’s most provocative original programs, and we’re pleased by the strong audience response. After much thought and consideration, HBO, as well as the creators and producers have decided not to move forward with a second season.”
The series was embroiled in controversy over sensationalism from the first episode. The main cast of the show and BLACKPINK Jennie were also criticized for their roles.
