On November 28th, KBS-2TV unveiled the first teaser poster for the new Monday-Tuesday drama “Love Song for Illusion” (written by Yoon Kyung-ah, directed by Lee Jung-seop). The poster captures the appearance of the protagonist Sajo Hyun (played by Park Ji-hoon), hinting at the drama’s gloomy atmosphere.

“Love Song for Illusion” is a fantasy historical romance drama. It is about the romance and fierce obsession between a man with two conflicting personalities and a woman with a dark past. The plot unfolds as the two navigate through fresh love and intense obsession.

The poster is striking, featuring Park Ji-hoon seated alone in the middle of a dark background. The lone figure, surrounded by the ruins of what seems like a desolate space, stands out, illuminated by torches and light.

Expectations are high for Park Ji-hoon’s transformation as he takes on the challenge of portraying a protagonist with dual personalities. It leaves viewers curious whether the figure with shadows cast on Park Ji-hoon’s face is “Sajo Hyun” or “Ak-hee”.

Park Ji-hoon will take on his first dual role, portraying Crown Prince “Sajo Hyun” and his second personality “Ak-hee”. The two personalities coexist in one body but engage in a struggle for dominance, particularly over the character “Yeon Wol” (played by Hong Ye-ji).

The production team said, “We aimed to visually depict the protagonist with two contrasting personalities and the space of his emotions. Please look forward to who will seize the throne between Sajo Hyun and Ak-hee.

Meanwhile, “Love Song for Illusion” is the follow-up to “The Matchmakers”. It is set to premiere in January 2024.
