A new video that BTS Jin prepared for fans before enlisting was released, making ARMYs excited.
On June 3rd, a preview for “SUCHWITA” was released through BTS’ official YouTube channel “BANGTANTV”.
In the video, only a part of the statue-like handsome man’s face was revealed, but fans confirmed that this man is Jin, who was recognized as “Worldwide Handsome”. He dominated real-time trends on SNS around the world as fans greeted him with joy and welcome.
In the preview video, Jin wore a gray sweater and jeans. He looked like a dandy college freshman.
In the preview video that appears to have been filmed 3 days before enlistment, Jin said, “Right now, I’ll probably be giving my best in serving my country. I’m sure I’ll be doing just fine, so don’t worry too much. Please don’t forget BTS and keep on showing your love and support.”
Host Suga told Jin, who was busy filming various videos for fans right before enlistment, “Seriously, you were the hardest guest to invite on the show.” Hearing this, Jin confessed, “The members said to me, ‘Wouldn’t ARMYs love to see you on a show with Suga while you’re in the army?’ So I decided to come on the show.“
Jin is currently working as an assistant instructor. His single “The Astronaut”, which was released before enlistment, continues to set various records every day.
“The Astronaut” became the highest-ranking solo single in the history of Circle Chart, Korea’s representative pop music chart, and achieved the million-seller title from Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). In addition, it was the only Korean solo album in 2022 to receive Gold certification from Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
Jin is maintaining his popularity, overshadowing the word “military hiatus”.
