After the release NewJeans’ “Super Shy” MV, Korean netizens once again detect similarities to “Infinite Challenge”.
On July 7th, NewJeans released the official MV for the pre-released song “Super Shy” prior to their comeback on July 21st.
However, immediately after the release, netizens started to compare the “giant gymnastics” scene performed by “Infinite Challenge” members and the aerobic choreography scene performed by NewJeans members in the “Super Shy” MV.
In particular, they left comments such as “How on earth do you remember something like this?“, “Everything is Infinite Challenge“, “The ‘NewJeans Infinite Challenge universe’ eventually exploded again“…
Previously, NewJeans has many similar scenes to “Infinite Challenge” in their MVs, from “Attention”, “Hype Boy”, “Ditto”, “OMG” to the comeback teaser released on June 27th. These scenes are popular among netizens as “NewJeans Infinite Challenge universe” memes.
MBC, which produced “Infinite Challenge”, became a hot topic by making use of these memes and posting the special video “Infinite Challenge NewJeans” on their YouTube channel “5minstealer”.
Meanwhile, NewJeans is scheduled to release their second EP album “Get Up” on July 21st. NewJeans pre-released “Super Shy” and “New Jeans” on July 7th before the album’s release. Aside from the two pre-released songs, the EP album will have a total of 6 songs, including “ETA”, “Cool With You”, “ASAP” and “Get Up”.
