NewJeans’ Hyein to Abstain from Certain Activities due to Foot Fracture
Hyein, a member of girl group NewJeans, suffered a foot fracture just before the group’s upcoming comeback.
On May 8, the agency of NewJeans, ADOR, issued a statement that NewJeans’ Hyein had a foot fracture and will have to abstain from certain activities.
The full statement from ADOR is as below:
“Hello. This is ADOR.
We would like to express our gratitude to the fans who always support and love NewJeans.
We would like to provide information regarding member Hyein’s health status and future schedules.
During practice in April, Hyein experienced pain in her foot and underwent thorough examination at the hospital, where a minor fracture was discovered.
Since then, she has been dedicated to treatment and recovery, but received advice from medical professionals to minimize movements that could strain her foot.
As a result, Hyein has decided to refrain from participating in official activities, including music broadcasts/performance for the double single ‘How Sweet,’ and instead focus on rest and recovery.
Depending on Hyein’s condition and medical advice, she will flexibly participate in schedules other than music broadcasts/performance.
We ask for your generous understanding, and we will do our best to ensure that Hyein can return to her fans in a healthy state.

Meanwhile, NewJeans is scheduled to release their new double single “How Sweet” on the 24th.
