Controversy Over Choi Yena’s New Title “Hate Rodrigo”: Mixed Reactions from Netizens

Netizens have been showing mixed reactions to the title of Choi Yena’s new song.

On June 27th, Choi Yena released her second single album, ‘Hate XX,’ at 6 pm KST. ‘Hate XX’ is her new release after a five-month break since her previous album, ‘Love War.’

The title track is ‘Hate Rodrigo.’ Choi Yena explained, “It’s a song that expresses the cute jealousy I feel. There is no resentment.”

Regarding the reason for directly mentioning Olivia Rodrigo, Choi Yena said, “It’s a song with various emotions such as longing and occasional jealousy in a cute and honest manner. I show my admiration through sincere lyrics and performances using playful expressions.”

However, there have been mixed reactions regarding the title of the song.
