As Song Joong Ki announced the news of his son being born in Rome, the hometown of his wife, attention is focused on the couple’s residence.
On June 14th, Song Joong Ki personally informed fans of the childbirth of his wife, Katy Louise Saunders, through his fan cafe.
In particular, the actor stated, “I came to say hello to you because I wanted to be the first to tell you one more dream-like news. I’m in Italy right now. I finally met my baby here in Rome, my wife’s hometown.”
Song Joong Ki also shared a photo of the baby’s hand holding onto his finger and expressed his joy at the birth, saying, “He’s a healthy son. Both the baby and his mother are very healthy, so I’m taking care of my family happily with gratitude.”
As a result of this announcement, speculations have arisen that Song Joong Ki may be living with his in-laws in Rome, Italy, where his wife Katy’s hometown is located. After completing his schedule at the Cannes Film Festival, Song Joong Ki went straight to Rome, Katy’s hometown.
It was already known that Song Joong Ki had finished filming projects such as “My Name Is Loh Kiwan”. There were also sightings of Song Joong Ki and his wife holding hands and strolling through the streets of Rome, captured by fans. Accordingly, the prevailing opinion is that the couple will be living in Katy’s parents’ home to provide her with postpartum care and comfort.

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki and Katy legally became husband and wife on January 30th, when they registered their marriage.
