Netizens Wonder How NCT’s Taeyong Posted On SNS At 1 a.m Despite Serving In Military

NCT’s Taeyong posted a photo of the night sky on his personal Instagram account at around 1 a.m. on May 30th.  The picture shows a red moon in the night sky and streetlights shining on a lake.

Upon seeing Taeyong’s post, many netizens were curious about how he, who entered the army for his military service on April 15th, could use a mobile phone to post on SNS. On the other hand, some speculated that there might have been a special situation in which Taeyong could use a mobile phone. 

According to the Ministry of National Defense, soldiers can only use mobile phones from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on holidays. Soldiers are not allowed to use mobile phones during guard duty, on-duty service, general lessons and training.

In this regard, netizens commented, “Is it possible for him to use a mobile phone at 1 a.m.?”, “Didn’t someone else keep the phone and upload it for him?”, “It doesn’t make sense”, “But isn’t he in the Navy?”, etc.

However, some revealed different opinions, saying “Wasn’t he allowed to use his mobile phone when moving as a promotional ambassador?”, “Logically saying, he would only post it when he was allowed to use his mobile phone”, “He must have been allowed to use it”, etc.

Currently, the reason why Taeyong was able to use his cell phone at 1 a.m. during the military service period is still unknown.

Earlier on April 15th, Taeyong enlisted in the Navy as the first NCT member to join the army. His expected discharge date is December 14th next year.
