Netflix’s “The Devil’s Plan” unveils lineup of 12 cast members who challenge brain survival game to win 500 million won
Netflix announced the 12-player cast lineup for their new survival show “The Devil’s Plan”.
“The Devil’s Plan” is a survival game-themed entertainment program to find out the person with the best brain to win the prize money of up to 500 million won.
Players who join “The Devil’s Plan” can come up with any plan to find out the truth, move the opponents’ hearts, and overcome taboos to achieve victory.
They form a society in a one-week camp and play an intense brain survival game to test their limits. Through this process, only one brain will be selected.
Amid the keen attention for “The Devil’s Plan” as a program created by the teaming up of Netflix and PD Jung Jong Yeon, the production team revealed the 12 players to challenge the most evolved brain survival game together.
The first cast members are actor Ha Seok Jin, who proved his “sexy brain man” aspect through “Problematic Men”, Jo Yeon Woo, a Korean professional Go player who graduated from a top prestigious university in Singapore, freelance announcer Lee Hye Sung, who always ranked 1st during her school days and actor-inventor Lee Si Won, who has more than 10 patents and models being used in daily life. Seungkwan, who has gained global popularity as a member of the famous K-pop group SEVENTEEN, also participates in this show to showcase his overwhelming entertainment sense and skills.
The lineup continues with Seo Dong Joo, who graduated from MIT with a degree in Mathematics then obtained an MBA and later graduated from a law school to become an attorney in the US, Park Kyung Rim, a well-loved broadcaster who won the Entertainment Awards at the age of 23, Guillaume Patry, first-generation professional game with a history of winning Star League, Youtuber “unrealscience” with 860 subscribers majoring in astronomy and space who is a former policy advisor for the Blue House, and Kwak Joon Bin, a science Youtuber with 1.63 million subscribers who can speak various languages.
In addition, US orthopedic surgeon Seo Yoo Min, who was selected through an open recruitment and college student Kim Dong Jae, who is working as a poker player, will join the cast.
Anticipation is high about how the players who have proven their skills in various fields, including law, science, medicine, Youtuber, sports, broadcasting, singing, acting, etc., will perform on the show with their outstanding knowledge and experiences.
PD Jung Jong Yeon, who has been recognized for creating genre programs, such as “The Genius”, “Great Escape”, etc., will be in charge of directing “The Devil’s Plan”. This will be the first program he produced after moving to TEO, a content production company founded by “Infinite Challenge” & “Hangout with You” PD Kim Tae Ho.
“The Devil’s Plan” will premiere via Netflix in the second half of this year.
