NCT Jaehyu to take the lead role for the OTT remake of the movie “Bungee Jumping of Their Own”

NCT member Jaehyun will present his acting activities with an OTT remake of the movie “Bungee Jumping of Their Own”. 

According to a report on Nov 2nd, NCT Jaehyun has decided to appear in the OTT drama remake of “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” and is currently discussing details. Launched in 2001, “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” (Director Kim Dae-seung) depicts a story that takes place when Seo In-woo (Lee Byung-hun), a high school teacher who cannot forget his late lover In Tae-hee (late Lee Eun-joo), meets Lim Hyun-bin (Yeo Hyun-soo), a student who acts the same way as Tae-hee. Lee Byung-hun, the late Lee Eun-joo, and Yeo Hyun-soo’s appearance in the movie draw huge attention at the time.’

The OTT drama remake of “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” will be re-produced by CEO Choi Nak-kwon, who produced the original film, and directed by Kim Jong-hyuk, who directed the SBS drama “Spring Day.” It will be made into 16 episodes, each is 25 minutes long, and will begin filming in January next year. The remake of “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” will be released as a Kakao TV original series, with Kakao TV participating in the planning and production process.

Jaehyun plays Lim Hyun-bin, which was played by Yeo Hyun-soo in the original movie “Bungee Jumping of Their Own”. It is rumored that Jaehyun decided to appear in the OTT drama remake proposal of “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” with trust in the original movie and the script.

Earlier, Jaehyun planned to start acting in earnest as Cha Min-ho in “Dear M,” which was scheduled to be broadcast on KBS 2TV. However, as “Dear M” was postponed indefinitely due to the controversy over Park Hye-soo’s bully controversy, the opportunity for Jaehyun’s fans to see his acting was delayed.

Therefore, it is highly likely that “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” will become Jaehyun’s first public acting performance for fans to see, unless “Dear M” is aired. The OTT drama remake of “Bungee Jumping of Their Own” will be filmed in January next year after completing its major casting and will be released in the second half of next year.
