The victim reported to the police but was abused seriously to the point that she decided to end her life. The victim’s younger sister could not bear the pain of losing her sister and also made an extreme choice.

Losing her two precious daughters, the mother went mad knowing one of the perpetrators had been cast as an extra in “Lovers”. Therefore, she revealed the story and told everyone to boycott the drama. As this information spread on Youtube, many netizens left supportive messages for the mother and demanded “Lovers” production team to replace the actor involved in the sexual assault.

In response to the allegation, MBC stated, “We received the viewers’ petitions regarding the casting company for ‘Lovers’ and confirmed that the controversial actor did come to the shooting site. Considering the concerns of viewers, we have immediately eliminated that actor. In order to prevent any similar cases, we also terminated our contract with that casting agency”.

“Lovers” is a new historical drama about a man (Nam Goong Min) who swears that he will never love anyone. However, he faces a life-turning point after meeting a woman (Ahn Eun Jin), who still believes in love even after suffering failures in marriage twice.
