According to the police on December 24th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation team summoned Lee Sun-kyun as a drug use suspect and blackmail victim and investigated him for about 19 hours from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m.. This is the third time that Lee has been summoned for investigation.
In principle, the investigation is prohibited from being processed in the late night hours (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.), but when a late-night investigation is inevitable due to the nature of the case, it is sometimes carried out with the consent of the suspect.
Standing in front of reporters after arriving at the Nonhyeon Police Station in Incheon the previous day, Lee Sun-kyun bowed his head, saying, “Once again, I sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people. I will sincerely answer the questions asked in today’s investigation.”
After a 19-hour overnight investigation, Lee Sun-kyun stood in front of the reporters again and said, “It may be a little late, but as a victim of blackmail today, I have completed the investigation of the complainant,” and asked the police to make a good judgment.
The police plan to analyze the contents of Lee’s statement secured in the third investigation, match it with the evidence secured in advance, and decide whether to send it to the prosecution.
