Lee Suhyun Opens Up After AKMU’s Comeback: Reflections, Authenticity, and Gratitude (ft. Lee Chanhyuk’s Reaction)
AKMU Lee Suhyun has been gaining attention for her latest post.
On August 31st, AKMU Lee Suhyun wrote on Instagram, “As our Love Lee activities are coming to an end, I thought I’d share some serious thoughts.”
She confessed, “It feels like it’s been about three years. I decided I need to live now, after a long time that felt stagnant. I wanted to live again, fueled by the support of family, friends, and colleagues who cherish and love me. Even as I prepared for this comeback with their support, I felt a lot of worries and fears.”
She continued, “Many people who love me for always smiling brightly and singing cheerfully have told me that. So, knowing that, I didn’t want to show my current state, and I didn’t want to go out of my house much, so I spent a long time stuck indoors.”
She expressed, “Someone said this. The reason people love AKMU is because from a young age, we’ve grown up with the public, showing honest singing and expressions that reflect the changing moments according to our age. Upon hearing those words, I made up my mind that I wouldn’t pretend to be someone I’m not during this comeback. Even if I receive disappointing comments or criticism for my current self, I decided to show my honest self.”
She then thanked her fans. She said, “I received much more love than I had thought. I received encouragement and comfort that was overwhelmingly touching, to the point where I wondered how this could be possible. I’ve thought that I need to love and take care of myself more.”
She also thanked her older brother Lee Chanhyuk for the effort he put in to support her and tailor the focus of this album to her.
She concluded, “In the midst of the affectionate support you all send me, I want to work harder step by step. If you can wait for me, I will continue to sing and repay endlessly until my vocal cords give out. Thank you.”
Lee Chanhyuk left playful comments, “Next time, let’s check your post before uploading, because there are too many paragraph spaces and disorderly parts. Fighting.”
