Lee Kwang-soo Explained Why He Proposed A New Program Idea To Na PD Instead Of “Running Man” PD.
Actor Lee Kwang-soo contacted producer Na Young-seok directly and proposed a new entertainment program.
On the afternoon of October 11th, a press conference for tvN’s new variety show “GBRB: Rep What You Sow” was held in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Producer Na Young-seok, PD Ha Moo-sung, cast Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Woo-bin, Do Kyung-soo and Kim Ki-bang attended the event.
“GBRB: Repa What You Sow” is a documentary program that shows fun things that happen when close friends grow a small field together.
On this day, producer Na talked about how he created “GBRB: Rep What You Sow” and said, “It was early this year when (Lee) Kwang-soo said to me one day, ‘I have some close friends, do you have any (program) for us to do together?'”
“When I did a program that Lee Kwang-soo appeared on as a guest or filmed as a special feature, I thought Kwang-soo was the most talented and personable entertainer in Korea. Since they are friends, I thought (Kim) Woo-bin, (Do) Kyung-soo, and (Kim) Ki-bang would all be good people, so I gladly said let’s do it. But I was worried about what to do since then,” he said.
“I filmed a program of best friends going to the countryside to help farming during the summer vacation so that the chemistry of these four people could be best revealed. We are confident that the show turned out well,” he added, expressing confidence.
After Na’s story, Lee Kwang-soo added laughter to the scene by saying, “Is there no pass in this question?” after being asked by reporters, “Why did you propose this program to producer Na Young-seok instead of other PDs?“
“In fact, I never imagined that I would be asked this question today. First of all, I love and appreciate Running Man producers (Cho) Hyo-jin, (Choi) Bo-pil, and (Jeong) Chul-min, who are like a family to me,” he said slyly.
Lee Kwang-soo, after thinking about it, said, “However, I felt that it would be better to show a new picture of me with new friends and viewers now thanks to Na PD.”
‘GBRB: Rep What You Sow’ will premiere at 8:40 p.m. on October 13th (KST).
