Actor Lee Dong-wook won Daesang at Pinggyego Awards
On December 17th, the YouTube channel “DdeunDdeun” uploaded a new video titled “1st Pinggyego Awards” with a splendid guest lineup of Jo Se-ho, Kwon Jin-ah, Lee Mi-joo, Ji Seok-jin, Hong Jin-kyung, Song Ji-hyo, Oh Na-ra, Lee Dong-hwi, Yang Se-hyung, Nam Chang-hee, Lee Dong-wook, etc.
Unlike other award ceremonies, Pinggyego Award was held at 9 a.m. so Ji Seok-jin poured complaints toward Yoo Jae-suk, saying “Just because you wake up at 6:30 a.m. doesn’t mean everyone has to wake up at the same time”, drawing laughter.
Actor Yoo Yeon-seok received Rookie of the Year. Appearing in a neat tuxedo, Yoo Yeon-seok delivered a long acceptance speech through a message video. In addition, Lee Dong-wook, Jo Se-ho and Nam Chang-hee were awarded Popularity Award and their episode “New Year’s Day is just an excuse” also won Best Pinggyego Episode.
Before announcing other winners, a karaoke section with Key performing SHINee’s “Ring Ding Dong”, Lee Dong-hwi impersonating Tak Jae-hoon, etc. was held to raise the mood. The pleasant atmosphere continued with a lucky draw event with seaweed and coffee as prizes.
Nam Chang-hee, Song Eun-yi, Lee Dong-wook, Jo Se-ho, Joo Woo-jae and Ji Seok-jin were nominated for Daesang. Before attending the award ceremony, Lee Dong-wook expressed his feelings in an interview, saying “They’re saying that I’m a strong candidate for Daesang but I’m not greedy for it”.
Ji Seok-jin and Jo Se-ho jointly received Excellence Award. Jo Se-ho said, “I borrowed a Thom Browne suit for today. This is my first Excellence Award since debut and I think I’ve been recognized. I’ll come to Pinggyego any time you call me”. Ji Seok-jin confessed, “I’m so touched and I really appreciate this award”.
Lastly, Lee Dong-wook won Daesang without any surprise. Delivering his speech, the actor said, “Thank you for voting for me. I haven’t been nominated for Daesang as an actor but I already gained recognition as a YouTuber”, adding “Thank you to Jae-suk hyung, all the staff and colleagues who came here”. He then emphasized that he had no intention of opening a personal channel, making everyone burst into laughter.
