Despite boasting an impressive cast lineup, setting, and story-telling, “Big Bet 2” is not receiving a lot of attention from viewers.
Released exclusively on the OTT platform Disney+, the action K-drama “Big Bet 2” boasts an incredible cast lineup filled with capable actors, including movie star Choi Min Sik, “Reply 1988” Lee Dong Hwi, and “My Liberation Notes” Son Seok Koo. At the same time, supporting cast members, such as “Squid Game” Heo Sung Tae and Kim Joo Ryoung also added to the charm of the drama.
However, due to its release on Disney+ and little promotions, many K-drama audiences are “sleeping on” “Big Bet 2”, leading to the series’ meager popularity. In fact, under discussion topics of the drama, many people expressed regrets, and lamented that “Big Bet 2” deserved way better popularity. “Big Bet” is a crime action drama about the journey of Cha Moo Sik, a top casino kingpin who experiences a series of unfortunate events. In the second season released on February 15th, 2023, Moo Sik is charged with murder of two people and of stealing 10 billion won. Cha Moo Sik has to pursue the culprit who pinned the crimes on him and evade the chase of Oh Seung Hoon (Son Suk Koo.)
