The news related to Kris Wu’s sexual scandal continues to cause a stir
On November 21, ETtoday reported that Chinese audiences were stirred by a recording in which hot girl Du Meizhu confessed to extorting money from Kris Wu. The audio file captured a conversation between Du Meizhu and a friend, where she proudly boasted about threatening and demanding money from her ex-lover.
In the recording, Du Meizhu admitted to not having any concrete evidence proving Kris Wu’s sexual abuse of minors. However, she still intentionally threatened Kris Wu, demanding a sum of up to 8 million CNY (~ $1,1M).
According to Du Meizhu’s account, Kris Wu panicked upon hearing her claim to possess incriminating evidence. Despite his distress, Kris Wu refused to give in to her demands. Failing to achieve her goal, Du Meizhu decided to bring Kris Wu down by accusing him of sexually assaulting many women.
“With 8 million CNY, he still claims it’s too much. If Kris Wu had just given me the money at that time, things might have been different. Perhaps he and his team wanted to gamble with me. I didn’t care that I had no evidence; I had to force him into a corner. If I didn’t make a fuss, I would be the one going to jail. First, I had to get the money, then make him lose all his reputation. If I lost this gamble, I couldn’t turn back,” Du Meizhu told her friend.
Later, Mr. Xu, the person who had helped Du Meizhu expose Kris Wu’s alleged illegal activities, unexpectedly accused the girl of lying to frame the former artist.
According to Xu, Du Meizhu willingly engaged in sexual relations with Kris Wu, not under the influence of alcohol or coercion as she claimed to the media. Furthermore, Du Meizhu fabricated the story of Kris Wu raping eight underage victims.
“With my own hands, I created a heroine. However, that heroine did some things that weren’t very heroic. I, too, was deceived by Du Meizhu. Two years have passed, and initially, I thought I was the scriptwriter and director of this film. Unexpectedly, I was just a pawn being used,” expressing frustration, Xu stated.
According to Xu, after realizing he had assisted the wrongdoer in framing Kris Wu, he met with the mother of the male singer to apologize. Xu also helped Kris Wu’s team gather evidence to clarify many false accusations. However, everything could not be salvaged.
“I lose sleep every night because I made a huge mistake. I am sorry to Wu Yifan. If given the chance, I hope the day he is released from prison, I can drive Wu to the airport. At that time, if Kris hits me, I will accept it. I want to make amends for him so that in the future, I can live a little more comfortably,” Xu shared.
The incident is currently causing discussions on Chinese social media. Public opinion criticizes Du Meizhu for deception, as she is just over 20 years old and has cunning tactics. In November 2022, the Beijing Court sentenced Kris Wu to 13 years in prison for sexual assault and group debauchery. He will be deported from China after serving his sentence. In July 2023, Kris Wu decided to appeal because he felt the verdict was “unjust.” The former star hopes to have his sentence reduced.
