LE SSERAFIM Sakura talks about contract terms for the first time and changes after living in Korea

Sakura unveiled the terms of her contract as a LE SSERAFIM member for the first time.

LE SSERAFIM members Sakura, Kim Chae Won, Huh Yun JIn, Kazuha, and Hong Eun Chae guested on episode 381 of JTBC’s entertainment program “Knowing Bros”, which aired on April 29th.

Sakura made her debuted in Japan in 2011 and has been working as an idol singer for 12 years. LE SSERAFIM is actually her third debut. Regarding the reason she left AKB48, Sakura said, “I wanted to challenge new things”, adding that she appeared on a famous Japanese program three times with three different groups.

Clarifying the rumor that she’s Kang Ho Dong’s “friend”, Sakura said, “It’s a business relationship”, adding that Kang Ho Dong never buys meals for anyone without knowing their contact. Kang Ho Dong reacted, “How can I contact you to have a meal?”. Sakura replied, “You can contact me through HYBE”.

Referring to the fact that LE SSERAFIM’s leader is not the oldest member Sakura, but the second oldest Kim Chae Won, Sakura explained, “When I signed the contract for LE SSERAFIM, I asked for only one condition. I told them to not make me the leader”. The members were all surprised as they also knew it for the first time.

Another Japanese member Kazuha revealed the thing that amazed her when she first came to Korea, saying “The delivery service is so fast”, adding “I became an adult on my last birthday. Until then, as a foreigner, I couldn’t have a phone number. I received many birthday gifts, but being able to have a mobile phone number was the best one. That day, I signed up for delivery apps and am using them well.”

Sakura added, “I became impatient after coming to Korea. Even when I get on an elevator, I keep pressing the close button. In Japan, we press it only once.” Huh Yun Jin commented, “The button in HYBE elevator has completely fallen off”, drawing laughter.

Kazuha then talked about why she quit ballet and became a K-pop idol.
