Lawsuit Against Park Yoo-chun Filed By Ex-Manager Continues, “Not Paying 600 Million Won In Salary”

The lawsuit filed against singer-actor Park Yoo-chun by his former manager has resumed trials after 4 months

According to the legal circles on March 9th, the 14th Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court (Chief Judge Park Yeon-ju) held a hearing trial on the lawsuit claiming damages against Park Yoo-chun on the 6th. However, Park Yoo-chun did not appear in court that day.

Kim, the former manager of Park Yoo-chun, submitted the causes for the lawsuit to the court through their legal representative. Kim claimed that he did not receive the amount of 600 million won in salary he was supposed to get over the past six years because Park Yoo-chun broke his exclusive contract with Re:Cielo by signing a double contract.

Kim is the manager who has been working with Park Yoo-chun since he was active with JYJ. After Park Yoo-chun’s contracts with other agencies were all terminated due to drug controversies, Kim established and operated the one-man agency Re:Cielo with Park Yoo-chun.

However, a conflict between them occurred after a year when Park Yoo-chun claimed that Re:Cielo did not pay him properly. Re:Cielo countered that they settled the payments normally and exposed Park Yoo-chun’s double contract with a Japanese agency.

Kim claimed that Park Yoo-chun promised to pay them 100 million won per year and offered him the CEO position at Re:Cielo. However, Kim did not receive the salary from March 1st, 2021 to December 31st, 2026 as promised due to Park Yoo-chun’s unfair termination of exclusive contract. In addition, Kim complained that he suffered a big loss of up to 569.5 million won.

In this regard, Park Yoo-chun has not released any statement. The next trial will take place on March 27th at the Seoul Eastern District Court.
