Controversy Surrounds Alleged Special Treatment for Celebrities at Bruno Mars’ Concert in Seoul

Famous artists’ attendance at Bruno Mars’ concert in Seoul raises suspicions of special treatment.

Bruno Mars recently held a concert on June 17-18 at Jamsil Stadium, Seoul. The event attracted an audience of up to 101,000 people over two days. The area surrounding the stadium was packed with people throughout the day.

However, controversy arose when various videos and photos of celebrities attending Bruno Mars’ concert started circulating online. Many casual concert attendees questioned whether these idols, actors, and athletes received special treatment and had separate invitations.

Generally, concerts allocate a certain number of invitations for acquaintances and family members. However, during Bruno Mars’ concert, a large number of celebrities occupied the main seats and side areas, intensifying the competition for tickets among regular audiences.

Regarding this matter, an official from Hyundai Card, the event organizer, said: “We have not yet confirmed the exact number of invitations. It is possible that management companies purchased a large number of tickets for the artists. The remaining tickets were mostly sold through the ticketing system.”

A person working in concert organization commented, “Although invitations are distributed according to procedures, and artists attending the concert can be seen as a promotional strategy, if it angers the audience, it can lead to negative consequences.”
