Kwon Eun-bi was cast as the female lead in the Japanese film “Stolen Identity 3”, which is set to be released in the fall of 2024.

The “Stolen Identity” series, based on the novel by Akira Shiga, garnered massive success, surpassing 1.5 million audiences and earning over 1.9 billion yen in revenue with its first installment in 2018. “Stolen Identity 2”, the sequel released in 2020, also achieved success by surpassing 900,000 audiences despite theater closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kwon Eun-bi’s casting as the female protagonist in her first acting challenge has become a hot topic. In “Stolen Identity 3”, the final installment of “Stolen Identity”, Kwon Eun-bi takes on the role of Soo-min, a mysterious black-haired beauty entangled in a web of secrets. Director Nakata Hideo, known as the master of J-horror, praised Kwon Eun-bi’s performance, “Kwon Eun-bi did an excellent job of expressing emotions in Japanese.

Along with the casting announcement, a teaser video for “Stolen Identity 3” was released on the morning of Dec 8th. The teaser, set against the backdrop of Seoul, Korea, depicts the suspenseful chase between Soo-min, whose life is threatened, serial killer Urano (played by Narita Ryo) and detective Kagaya (played by Chiba Yudai), intensifying the anticipation.

Kwon Eun-bi’s screen debut work “Stolen Identity 3” is scheduled to be released in Japan in the fall of 2024.
