KT holds “Golden Dog Tag” event to commemorate the exclusive release of “New Recruit 2” VOD on Genie TV

With ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama & Genie TV’s original series “New Recruit 2” unveiled, the opportunity to get a Golden Dog Tag has come.

KT announced on Sep 1st that it will hold the “Find the Golden Dog Tag” event at KT’s offline stores nationwide to commemorate the exclusive release of “New Recruit 2” VOD on Genie TV.

KT will draw 2 of the people who applied using QR codes on “New Recruit 2” promotional materials (poster, POP, hardtack, digital video, etc.) attached to offline stores such as KT dealerships, superstores and plazas nationwide from Aug 31st to Sep 30th and present them with specially designed “Golden Dog Tags”.

Any visitor to KT’s stores can apply, and the winners will be announced on the event page and individually on Oct 13th.

Hardtacks will also be distributed to the first 60,000 store visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

Genie TV is the new name of KT’s IPTV service “Olleh TV”.

“New Recruit 2” airs a total of 6 episodes every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM on ENA. VOD is exclusively serviced by Genie TV.

“New Recruit”, a Genie TV original drama produced by KT, is a work that caused a sensation among men in their 20s and 40s last year, called “legendary military content”.

“New Recruit 2” premiered on ENA on Aug 28th. Episode 1 recorded 2.1% (Nielsen Korea, nationwide), the highest first episode rating among Genie TV’s original works this year.

A KT official said, “In order to repay the great interest and support for original works produced by KT such as ‘New Recruit’, ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’, ‘Lies Hidden in My Garden’ and ‘Not Others’, to commemorate the exclusive release of ‘New Recruit 2’ VOD on Genie TV this time, we prepared an event where anyone can apply for unusual prizes just by visiting KT’s stores.”

They added, “In the future, KT will continue to make efforts to produce differentiated Genie TV original works in order to revitalize the daily lives of Korean people.”
