Previously, Pyo posted a video on YouTube suggesting her extreme choice. “I’m one of the people who has suffered from school violence in elementary, middle and high schools for the past 12 years,” she said. “On a YouTube channel, they are attacking me, making multiple anonymous personal attacks and shaming me. In addition, they claim that my story about school violence is false,” adding, “I am no longer confident to endure and overcome the pain. There is nothing left to continue living. Please don’t give up on my case.”

Pyo, who runs a one-person beauty salon in Yeonje-gu, Busan, is a YouTube creator who said that she had been suffering from school violence for 12 years. She also filed a national petition in April, asking for the abolition of provisions that could be applied in favor of the perpetrators of school violence.
