Korean male stars involved with chaebol families: BTS V and G-Dragon faced dating rumors, “Squid Game” star called a “gold-digger”
Various famous Korean male stars, including BTS V, G-Dragon, and more… were said to be involved with young ladies from chaebol families.
There have been a lot of stories about female Korean stars dating wealthy businessmen. At the same time, the opposite also happens, and various Korean male stars have been said to be involved with young ladies from chaebol families.

G-Dragon (BIGBANG)
Back on January 10th, G-Dragon was rumored to be dating Moon Seo Yoon, a young lady of the Samsung family. It was said that the male idol and Moon Seo Yoon went to the “Street Man Fighter” concert together.
Moon Seo Yoon is the maternal granddaughter of Lee Myung Hee, who is the president of Shinsegae Department Store and the youngest daughter of Samsung founder Lee Byung Chul. However, this dating rumor has been refuted by both Shinsegae and YG Entertainment
Lee Jung Jae
“Squid Game” star Lee Jung Jae has been involved in dating rumors with Im Se Ryung, former wife of Samsung heir Lee Jae Yong since 2010. The two eventually confirmed their relationship in 2015. It is also known that Im Se Ryung is from the prestigious Daesang family.
After revealing his relationship with Im Se Ryung, Lee Jung Jae was accused of being a “gold-digger”, as netizens assumed Im Se Ryung gave him money to open a company.
On top of this, on the Korean forum Pann, there were also other rumors of Lee Jung Jae receiving sponsorship from Lee Hae Kyung of the Dongyang Conglomerate, receiving over 10 billion won to pay his debts from her.
V (BTS)
Back in October, 2021, BTS V faced dating rumors with the daughter of Paradise Group, after appearing at the 2021 VVIP event of the KIAF. In addition, V was wearing an accessory produced by the company of said daughter, raising speculations.
Paradise Group owns a lot of hotel chains, casinos, and luxurious resorts. Meanwhile, HYBE Labels refuted the dating rumors and claimed that V and the Paradise family were only acquaintances.
RM (BTS)
In December 2021, a YouTube channel released a dating rumor between RM (BTS) and a wealthy woman of the same age. They were suspected of taking photos at the same place and the same time. A photo of his alleged girlfriend’s dog was also posted on social media.
In response, HYBE refuted the claim by stating it was only “groundless rumor.” RM also announced on Weverse that the dog was a pet of his friend.
Bae Yong Joon
In 2013, Bae Yong Joon was exposed to be dating the chaebol Goo So Hee when they were spotted traveling to Japan. Goo So Hee was the daughter of Goo Ja Gyun, former Vice Chairman of LS Cable & System. Her mother is a relative of the co-founder of the world-famous LG Group.
When the relationship came to light, Goo So Hee’s family was against her relationship as they believed Bae Yong Joon only dated her to elevate his status among the elites. They parted ways in the end due to family pressure.
Park Yoochun
In April 2017, Park Yoochun suddenly announced his marriage plan in autumn of the same year. His fiancee was Hwang Hana, the daughter of Namyang Dairy Group. After one year, they went separate ways. During their time together, the couple postponed the wedding twice and was wrapped up in a drug-use scandal in 2019. The fiancee admitted to the charges and Park Yoochun was also interrogated.
Park Yoochun was charged with buying 1.5 gram of drug and used them 7 times with Hwang Hana. He received 2 years in probation and would be put behind bars for 10 months if he was charged with any additional crimes. He had to pay 1.4 million won in fine and was banned from going on air in Korea.
