On the broadcast that day, San Young (Kim Tae Ri) and Hae Sang (Oh Jung Se) began to investigate the hint ‘Jangjinri’ left by Kang Mo (Jin Sun Kyu) in the research notes to find out who the devil was. As a result, the two met grandfather Lee (Moon Chang Gil), who revealed, “My younger brother lived in Jangjinri”. He remembered that there was a hollow tree marked with an X on the map presented by San Young. It was an old custom that ‘deok’ hanging on the tree means the body of a young child.

Grandfather Lee explained that the tree was often referred to as ‘suicide tree’ because many people had taken their lives there. He also recognized the photo of Kang Mo, saying “He was very close to my deceased brother”. In addition, he revealed that his brother’s granddaughter Tae Young (Lee Ha Eun) would know more information and she lives nearby.

San Young and Hae Sang visited Tae Young and found the shadow of a suicide tree in the building where people hanged themselves. However, there was nobody on one tree brand but only an empty rope was hung, which means, “one more person would die”. Hae Sang later found out that the tree has already been disposed of due to the construction of the new city and realized that Tae Young was the victim of the empty rope. San Young also obtained a decisive clue and informed Hae Sang. The owner of the aquarium where Tae Young used to work was an illegal money lender and he claimed to have seen a suicide spirit at the aquarium.

There was no suspicion of murder, but someone claimed to have heard the sound of high heels the day the suicides occurred. Investigating the surroundings, Hong Sae discovered that Tae Young knew all the victims and she disappeared after their suicides.

After various efforts, they confirmed that Tae Young was hiding in the warehouse of Lee grandfather’s house and successfully saved her, who was being assaulted by the moneylender disguised as a woman wearing high heels. Although they managed to prevent Tae Young’s death, San Young, cried desperately and headed toward the Han River as she was overwhelmed by the guilt and fear of introducing her friends to an illegal moneylender. Hae Sang got worried when receiving the information that San Young had also received a fish tank with the suicide clue, Hae Sang tracked her location through his mobile phone and found her.

However, when Hae Sang faced San Young, she appeared with a different atmosphere and looked at him with cold eyes. She smiled and said, “Long time no see”. Hae Sang finally met the devil that killed his mother.
