Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won to lead writer Park Ji Eun’s new drama “Queen of Tears” 

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are co-starring in “Queen of Tears.” 

On December 5th, Studio Dragon announced, “Actors Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won have been confirmed to star in Park Ji Eun’s new work, ‘Queen of Tears’ (tentative title).”

Writer Park Ji Eun is best known for penning “My Love from the Star,” “Legend of the Blue Sea,” and “Crash Landing on You.”

Director Jang Young Woo, who directed “Crash Landing on You”, and director Kim Hee Won of “Vincenzo” and “Little Women” will also join to form an A-team.

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will play a couple in “Queen of Tears.” The drama is expected to bring various emotions, from joy to sorrow of a romance.

Kim Soo Hyun plays Baek Hyun Woo, the pride of Yongduri Village and the legal director of the Queen’s Group. This is his third time working with writer Park, and the response is already explosive.

Kim Ji Won appears as Hong Hae In, the third generation of Queen’s Group chaebol. She will present a miraculous love story with Kim Soo Hyun through a dizzying crisis.

An official asked for anticipation, saying, “It will be a moving drama that will make you feel the importance of family as well as Park Ji Eun’s unique sense of humor.”

Meanwhile, “Queen of Tears” is scheduled to start filming in the first half of 2023.
