Kim Saeron Makes a Smiling Comeback in a MV After Drunk Driving Controversy

Kim Saeron, who has been on self-reflection due to drunk driving, returned today (August 18) with a smiling face.

At 12:00 PM KST on July 18th, OGAM Entertainment released the MV for the song ‘Bittersweet’ by El brothers and Christine Corless.

‘Bittersweet’ is a song that conveys the message that if one lives their life from a proactive perspective in negative emotions and situations, they can live the life they desire without being swayed internally.

Earlier, regarding Kim Saeron’s appearance in the music video, El brothers explained, “When bitter moments come into a peaceful daily life, a situation where disconnection from the outside becomes inevitable, when one looks into their own emotions and situations, they finally realize that their life is their own. The situation of the main character in the music video is similar to Kim Saeron’s situation.”

Meanwhile, after filming the Netflix drama ‘Bloodhounds’ in the latter half of last year, Kim Saeron was sentenced to a fine for drunk driving in Gangnam-gu, Seoul in May of last year.

At the time of the accident, Kim Saeron’s blood alcohol concentration was about 0.2%, exceeding the license cancellation standard.

Due to Kim Saeron’s drunk driving, although the production team of ‘Bloodhounds’ completed all of Kim Saeron’s filming, they faced a situation where additional filming was needed, including ADR and reshoots. They explored various options such as substituting with another actor, extensive editing, and postponing the release, but ultimately decided to release Kim Saeron’s footage without edits.

Subsequently, on April 5th, the court sentenced Kim Saeron to a fine of 20 million won. Kim Saeron’s side did not appeal, and the sentence was finalized on April 13th.
