Actors Kim Da-mi and Choi Woo-sik reunited 3 years after the movie “The Witch.”
On the afternoon of Dec 1st, the press conference to announce SBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Our Beloved Summer“ was held online due to the pandemic Director Kim Yoon-jin, actors Choi Woo-sik, Kim Da-mi, Kim Sung-chul, and Noh Jung-eui attended the conference to talk about various things.
“Our Beloved Summer” is a youth first-love romance in which an ex-couple is forcibly summoned due to the popularity of their documentary filmed in high school. The complex and subtle emotions went on as their relationship, which should have ended with “I hate it and let’s not see each other again!”, continued.
In particular, “Our Beloved Summer” received great attention from the production stage as Kim Da-mi and Choi Woo-sik, who have worked together once through the movie “The Witch” released in 2018, reunited for the first time in three years.
On this day, the two expressed their feelings about working together as sweet lovers for the first time in three years. First of all, Choi Woo-sik said, “ We enacted different emotions with actions rather than lines in the movie ‘The Witch’. At that time, we had to beat each other somehow and tried to hurt each other, but now we meet with a completely different chemistry,” he said. “I didn’t have much experience in the drama field, so I relied on Da-mi and asked her a lot.”
Kim Da-mi said, “Even though I met him after three years, I felt so comfortable as if we were still in the past,” adding, “I felt that Woo-sik playing the role of Woong in this work contributes a lot to it. I think we could film comfortably from the 1st scene without having to get to know each other first. We were able to talk to each other a lot and act comfortably,” she said warmly.
SBS’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Our Beloved Summer” will premiere at 10 p.m. on Dec 6th.
