K-pop Sensation aespa Shines on the Main Stage of ‘The Governors Ball Festival’ in the United States
K-pop group aespa decorates the main stage of The Governors Ball Music Festival 2023 in New York, USA.
On the 10th (local time), aespa became the first K-pop group to participate in The Governors Ball Music Festival 2023, held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York. They performed on the main stage and received a warm response from local music fans.
The Governors Ball Festival is an annual outdoor music festival in New York that takes place over three days. It features four stages and hosts around 70 performances by artists from various music and art genres. In addition to aespa, headliners for this year’s festival include Lizzo, ODESZA, and Kendrick Lamar.
On this day, aespa performed a total of 10 songs, including their hit songs “Black Mamba,” “Next Level,” “Savage,” “Girls,” and “aenergy.” They also showcased their new songs “Spicy,” “Salty & Sweet,” “Welcome To MY World,” as well as English-language songs like “Life’s Too Short” and “Hold On Tight” to cater to the local audience. The group delivered a dynamic and energetic performance with a live band session, igniting the atmosphere of the venue. The passionate response and cheers from the audience once again demonstrated aespa’s global popularity and influence.
Furthermore, aespa will hold their solo concert “aespa LIVE TOUR 2023 ‘SYNK: HYPER LINE’ in JAKARTA” at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD) in Jakarta on June 24th.
