An old video of Lee Byung-hun, who experienced hard labor through a broadcast, attracted attention.
A video titled “Lee Byung-hun built Seogang Bridge????” was posted on the YouTube channel “KBS HUMAN: Emotional TV” in 2019. Recently, it gained popularity as it was re-examined on online communities.
Actor Lee Byung-hun appeared on KBS’ “Field of Life Experience” in 1993 when he was a rookie. He was sent to the construction site of Seogang Bridge at the young age of 24.
At the scene, Lee Byung-hun sweated a lot while dismantling the upper part of the bridge, placing concrete and welding.
As it was a fierce labor site, Lee Byung-hun continually tripped and stumbled. He even went up to a high place to concentrate on connecting the bridge’s joints.
Lee Byung-hun smoked a cigarette as if he had been hit by reality while repeating heavy labor such as falling into the water. His bright smile at the beginning was gone.
He eventually said “It was so hard”, making everyone burst into laughter.
Netizens who watched the video showed tragicomic reactions such as “I feel like Lee Byung-hun will tell people that he built Seogang Bridge”, “Entertainment shows were realistic back then” and “Lee Byung-hun worked hard as a rookie.”
Meanwhile, KBS’ “Field of Life Experience”, which was a popular entertainment program, aired until 2012 and was loved by viewers.
