K-netizens react to Olivia Rodrigo’s new song release timing, mention Choi Yena

In the evening of June 30th (Korean time), a topic titled “Olivia Rodrigo’s new song came out today” was published on the Korean forum Pann Nate, drawing attention. 

The author of the topic also added the caption “The timing is very appropriate for the situation”, seeminging referring to the fact that Choi Yena released the song “Hate Rodrigo” just a few days prior.

In particular, “Hate Rodrigo” is said to be a “homage song” towards Olivia Rodrigo, and the MV of said song had to be re-edited due to including images of the pop star. 

As a result, many netizens directed their criticism at Yena and her agency.
