IVE Jang Wonyoung under fire for “lazy dancing” in IVE’s dance challenge video

Jang Wonyoung, a member of IVE, is being criticized for putting little energy in IVE’s dance challenge video.

On April 10th, IVE returned to K-pop with their latest album, “I’ve IVE” and the M/V for the title track, “I AM.” Following the promotional activities on music shows, IVE is carrying out a dance challenge on TikTok. Specifically, three members of the girl group, Gaeul, Liz and Jang Wonyoung danced to their title track with different levels of intensity.

Liz gained the most attention for executing her part perfectly, while maintaining captivating expressions. She brought positive energy and professionalism to her dance performance. However, Jang Wonyoung received a lot of criticism, with netizens saying that her dance moves were poorly executed, and she was not committed to doing the dance challenge.

Netizens gave their opinions: “Why is she dancing to 1111% energy like that?” “Her fur coat was getting in the way,” and “Liz took the spotlight.” Nonetheless, fans defended Wonyoung, saying “If Wonyoung says it’s 1111%, then it’s 1111%” or “Wonyoung is so cute.”
