Former LOONA member Chuu (24, Kim Ji Woo) is becoming a hot topic. Her photo taken in the past is suddenly attracting attention online.
Recently, a photo was uploaded on the online community FM Korea with the caption “Chuu was smiling on the subway”. The photo showed a cute young woman sitting between passengers in a subway train seat, looking at something and smiling broadly. She is singer Chuu at a glance.
She was dealing with some electronic device, not caring about the suitcase at her feet. As it turned out later, the electronic device was none other than a Nintendo game console. It is uncommon for a celebrity to use public transportation. There, Chuu was immersed in games. She was enjoying games in a trance.
Looking at the photo, the destination is unclear. However, it doesn’t seem to be a simple outing in that Chuu carried her suitcase.
The photo appears to have been secretly taken by a passenger sitting in the opposite seat. It is estimated to be around late 2018, after LOONA’s debut.

Chuu said, “We were on our way to Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do for the first Lunar New Year vacation since our debut. Other members were in the opposite row of seats, but I don’t know who took the picture.”
To the host’s question “What kind of game were you playing?”, Chuu shyly replied, “Haseul lent me a Nintendo (game console), and I was playing ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’. I was also good at ‘Pocket Monsters’.”
Meanwhile, Chuu debuted as a member of LOONA in 2017 and has been active in various fields such as entertainment shows, CFs and pictorials aside from her singing career.
Last year, Chuu was expelled from LOONA and her former agency Blockberry Creative. According to the agency, Chuu was abusing her power and using violent language towards the staff, so they decided to kick Chuu out of the group and the company. Chuu countered, “I have never done anything that would make my fans feel ashamed.” Recently, it was reported that she signed an exclusive contract with ATRP.
