Singer Hyuna shed tears while performing before the expiration of her exclusive contract with P Nation was announced.
On August 27th, Hyuna and Dawn performed at the “Sihwa MTV Geobukseom Music Festival” which was held at Wave Park. Hyuna sang a series of hit songs, such as “I’m not cool”, “RED”, “Lip&Hip”, “BABE”, and “Bubble Pop”.
After finishing “Bubble Pop” stage, Hyuna spent time communicating with fans. While introducing the next performance of “Ping Pong”, which was also the last song, Hyuna suddenly shed tears.
Dawn tried to comfort Hyuna by hugging her shoulders but she cried heavier at the warm support of fans.
Dawn then took the mic and said on behalf of Hyuna. He shared, “It seems like Hyuna is overwhelmed with emotions because you guys are giving her so much love. Hyuna, whom I know, is a person who always feels grateful for every little thing she has. I think she appreciates your love a lot.”
The audience began to shout “Don’t cry” to comfort Hyuna. Gaining back her energy thanks to fans’ supportive words, Hyuna wiped her tears and continued the show with a perfect performance of “Ping Pong”.
Meanwhile, P Nation announced the expiration of Hyuna and Dawn’s exclusive contracts through an official statement on August 29th.
The agency said, “We would like to express our deep gratitude to all of you for your love and interest in Hyuna and Dawn”, revealing that the two’s exclusive contracts with P Nation recently expired.
Hyuna and Dawn also shared P Nation’s official announcement on their Instagram accounts along with the messages, “Thank you” and “I will show you better performances in the future”.
