“Hospital Playlist” Spin-off Canceled Altogether Due to Medical Strikes?

The spin-off of hit K-drama “Hospital Playlist” is facing risks of total cancellation due to ongoing medical strikes in Korea.

However, despite high anticipation from fans and the public alike, “Resident Playbook”, which was supposed to star Go Yoon-jun, Shin Shi-ah, and Kang Yoo-seok, among others, was constantly delayed. As a result, “The Midnight Romance In Hagwon” ended up taking its place as the successor to “Queen of Tear”.

Now, rumors have surfaced that the spin-off series has been canceled all together, never to see the light of day – likely due to ongoing strikes of medical workers in Korea.

In particular, the Korean Medical Association recently announced that they would be all taking leaves of absence on June 18, 2024, leading to large hospitals facing staff shortage.

So far, many people have expressed support for the cancelation, with some even suspecting that “Resident Playbook” might have over-glorified the lives of medical workers.
