“High Kick Through the Roof” Julien Kang selects his ideal type between Hwang Jung Eum and Yoo In Na, making the best 1 minute on “Radio Star”
The cast of the legendary drama “High Kick Through the Roof” saved “Radio Star”.
MBC’s talk show “Radio Star”, which aired on December 14th, introduced the special episode called “High Kick Through the Radio Star” featuring Lee Soon Jae, Oh Hyun Kyung, Jin Ji Hee, and Julien Kang.
According to the rating research company Nielsen Korea on December 15th, the broadcast of “Radio Star” on the previous day, ranked 1st place among programs of the same broadcasting time with a viewer rating of 3.7% (in Seoul area). On the 2049 viewer rating chart, the major indicator for advertising officials and a key indicator in the competition between channels, “Radio Star” also ranked No.1 by recording 1.6%.
The best 1 minute of the broadcast was the scene where Julien Kang selected his ideal type among Hwang Jung Eum and Yoo In Na, his co-stars in “High Kick Through the Roof”. The real-time viewer rating soared to 4.9% in this part.
All the cast members said they realized the popularity of the legendary sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof”. Lee Soon Jae said, “We visited Vietnam after filming the drama. People ignored the main actors and rushed to me”. Oh Hyun Kyung added, “Kids these days grow up watching ‘High Kick Through the Roof’”.
Oh Hyun Kyung delivered her whereabouts and released some behind-the-scenes stories about the filming of the drama. Jin Ji Hee confessed the aftereffect of changing her voice tone to perform the scene where she shouted the buzzword “Bbang-ggu-ttong-ggu” in the drama. She also mentioned Yoon Si Yoon, who played her brother, and thanked him for taking care of her in during the filming in the past.
Julien Kang said the writers reacted enthusiastically as soon as he entered the audition venue, so the production team decided to cast him right away. When asked to choose the prettier co-star between Hwang Jung Eum and Yoo In Na, he got embarrassed.
